December 2025 Happenings at Cloverfield Organic Farm

Happy Holidays to all of our farm friends and visitors! May the blessings of the season fill your hearts and tummies. Please come enjoy the farm and take a break from the hectic seasonal festivities. We have a special for you at the bottom of this blog.

We are fortunate to farm in a temperate climate that allows crops to be grown and harvested year-round. Cool-season crops are happy in the short, cool, and wet days of winter. We continue to hold weekly open hours for u-picking on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 11 am to 4 pm. We stay open under all weather conditions, and if you come on a rainy day, please dress for the wet weather. Private tours and special events can be booked ahead of time on our website.

In December, the items available for u-picking are expected to include arugula, komatsuna (Japanese spinach), pak choy, radishes, beets, ripe olives, kale, collards, Swiss chard, mustard, ginger, marshmallow roots, horseradish roots, lettuce, pea tendrils, bay leaves, rhubarb, green onions, green shallots, fresh fenugreek, parsley, sage, limes, rosemary, thyme, rau ram, and beautiful bouquets of edible mixed flowers.

We sell digital gift cards, which make fantastic gifts. Get one for yourself, or to give to someone else. The digital gift cards can be used on our website to purchase u-pick 'bunches' of fresh flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables, raw honey, dried herbs, seeds, guided horse interactions, picnic area rentals, and private tours. To redeem a Cloverfield Organic Farm gift card, the customer enters the unique gift card code during online checkout on our farm website. If the balance doesn't cover the full cost, they can use another payment method for the remainder.

Our farm organic plant nursery will be open all December. We have a wide variety of organic potted perennials, including herbs, flowers, and fruits. Most of our potted plants do well when planted during the winter as long as the soil isn't flooded and too soggy to handle.
