2025 August Happenings and U-Picking at Cloverfield Organic Farm

Our organic farm is in full production in August. We welcome you to come visit and enjoy this bountiful season.

U-picking is available by appointment, or during our regular open hours. Favorite Summer vegetable staples that are ripening this time of year and available to u-pick include cucumbers, peppers, green beans, and squash. Several fruits are available this time of year - blackberries, grapes, autumn berries, wild cherry plums, apples, elderberries, and pears. Other things to fresh u-pick (or u-dig) include edible flowers (cosmos, hollyhocks, yarrow, marigolds, zinnia, dahlias, and sunflowers), California bay leaves, grape leaves, Makrut Thai lime leaves, Absinthe wormwood, comfrey, St. John's wort, ashwagandha leaves, zucchini, four flavors of mint (chocolate, apple, orange, and strawberry), radishes, lettuce, Greek oregano, nettles, marshmallow leaves, Swiss chard, quinoa leaves, amaranth leaves, horseradish leaves or roots, yellow ginger, thyme, purslane, nopales, garlic chives, green onions, rhubarb, red-veined sorrel, Malabar spinach, beets, kales, collards, borage, fennel, basil, shiso, epazote, sage, rosemary, rau ram, lemon balm, lemon verbena, green onions, and parsley. A few different varieties of tomatoes and Cascade hops should be available for u-picking later in the month of August.

We sell by the 'bunch'. A large farm basket filled with about 6 different things that you u-pick fresh from the garden and orchard is $36. A single pint basket (or bunch) of fruits, flowers, vegetables, or herbs is $6. Our organic potted plants range in price from $7 to $25 each. We have dried herbs, garlic, seeds, raw honey, and organic Black Point olive oil in the shed. Items in the shed are individually packaged and priced (from $3 to $27).

We are located at 501 La Paloma Rd., El Sobrante, California.

Our regular u-pick hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to five. You don’t need a reservation to come u-pick during our regular u-pick hours. We have alternate times for reserved tours and events on our website, which you can reserve at least four days in advance. Another reserved service that we offer are private horse interactions with Magic Ben, hosted by Karen Rose Mathews.

We have free parking. Cash, Venmo, credit/debit cards, Paypal, and EBT are all accepted.
