What's Ready for U-Picking in September

The days are getting shorter and the temperature can be hot. September is the hottest month of the year at our farm. It is also fire season, so smoke sometimes hangs in the air and gives everything a golden glow.

Things that we expect to have available for u-picking in September include the following:

Autumn berries, apples, Chilean guavas, Emeryville pink grapes, tomatoes, beets, sweet peppers, mild hot peppers, fiery hot red manzano peppers, rhubarb, squashes, a few figs, cucumbers, horseradish, lemon verbena, mints, and oregano.

In the shed we have dried herbs, such as hops, Greek oregano, lemon balm, apple mint, and more. We also have jars of our raw unfiltered honey.

Fall is a great time for planting. We have a selection of potted organic edibles for sale in the nursery area - Asian orange daylilies, aloe vera, elderberries, grapes, and more.
