What's Ready for U-Picking in July

We are into our Summer harvest season and we have small amounts of several different things (all certified organic!) that you can u-pick into a farm basket in July. A farm basket filled with about 7 different things that you u-pick fresh from the garden is $30. A single pint basket of fruits, peppers, or herbs is $5. Our potted plants range in price from $5 to $15 each. We have dried herbs, garlic, bundles of heirloom wheat, seeds, raw honey, and organic olive oil in the shed and the items in the shed are individually packaged and priced (from $1 to $23).

Stone fruits are available this time of year - wild cherry plums, pluots, and apriums are in season. It is possible there might be a few strawberries. Other things to fresh u-pick include Himalayan wild blackberries, California bay leaves, chocolate mint, apple mint, Greek oregano, nettles, lettuce, marshmallow leaves, quinoa leaves, amaranth leaves, fennel pollen, horseradish leaves or roots, thyme, purslane, celery flowers, nopales, garlic chives, green onions, squash, rhubarb, kales and collards, borage, sunflowers, fennel, sage, rosemary, rau ram, lemon balm, lemon verbena, beets, parsley, and a few other things that don’t immediately come to mind. Cucumbers, green beans, and tomatoes should be available for u-picking later in the month of July.

Our regular u-pick hours are on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (this time of year) from noon to five. We will be open on Monday, July 5 for Independence Day. You don’t need a reservation to come u-pick during our regular u-pick hours. We have alternate times for small private events on our website, which you can reserve at least four days in advance. Another reserved service that we offer are private horse interactions with Magic Ben, hosted by Karen Rose Mathews.

We have free parking. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, or Paypal.

You, and your friends and family, will have a fun time and we look forward to meeting you!
