Late Winter and Early Spring are when the stone fruit trees bloom at Cloverfield Farm. The native wild plums bloom first, starting in mid-February. Late February is peak season for many of the cherries, pluots, apriums, apricots, peaches, and plums. Apples and pears bloom a bit later, into early April. This is great time to walk among the orchard fruit trees and enjoy their glorious flowers and see the busy honey bees at work.
Oh, the promise of sweet organic Summer fruits to u-pick fresh off the trees!
