We are into the balmy-long-days of Summer and the Summer harvest is in full swing.
A large farm basket filled with about 6-7 different things that you u-pick fresh from the garden and orchard is $36. A single pint basket (or bunch) of fruits, flowers, vegetables, or herbs is $6. Our potted plants range in price from $6 to $18 each. We have dried herbs, garlic, bundles of heirloom wheat, seeds, raw honey, and organic olive oil in the shed and the items in the shed are individually packaged and priced (from $3 to $27).
Favorite Summer vegetable staples that are ripening this time of year and available to u-pick include sweet corn, cucumbers, peppers, green beans, and squash. A few fruits are available this time of year - blackberries, grapes, wild cherry plums, apples, elderberries, and pears. Other things to fresh u-pick (or u-dig) include edible flowers (cosmos, marigolds, zinnia, dahlias, and sunflowers), California bay leaves, grape leaves, Kaffir lime leaves, potatoes, Absinthe wormwood, ashwagandha leaves, zucchini, three flavors of mint (chocolate, apple, and strawberry), radishes, lettuce, arugula, Greek oregano, nettles, marshmallow leaves, Swiss chard, quinoa leaves, amaranth leaves, horseradish leaves or roots, yellow ginger, thyme, purslane, nopales, garlic chives, green onions, rhubarb, kales, collards, borage, fennel, basil, shiso, epazote, sage, rosemary, rau ram, lemon balm, lemon verbena, beets, and parsley. A few different varieties of cucumbers and Cascade hops should be available for u-picking later in the month of August.
Our regular u-pick hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to five. You don’t need a reservation to come u-pick during our regular u-pick hours. We have alternate times for reserved tours and events on our website, which you can reserve at least four days in advance. Another reserved service that we offer are private horse interactions with Magic Ben, hosted by Karen Rose Mathews.
We have free parking. Cash, Venmo, credit/debit cards, Paypal, and EBT are all accepted.
We welcome you to come to our farm to be inspired and nourished!
