Once per season we invite volunteers to come work with us to learn organic farming and help us get our chores done. Activities we have planned for this Fall event include planting of garlic, seeding cover crops, preparations for planting of bare-root fruit trees, orchard fertilizing, weeding, and sheet mulching.
This volunteer workday event will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 10 am to 2 pm.
We will provide tools, drinking water, and light snacks. Participants of all ages and levels of experience can participate. We will work under any weather conditions, so dress appropriately. Wear sturdy shoes, garden gloves, a wide-brimmed hat, and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. (or muddy if it is rainy!). We ask that you sign a release of liability, and we can provide this to you ahead of time so you have a chance to review it before signing.
