All through the month of July, different varieties of plums and pluots are ripening and are ready for u-picking at Cloverfield Organic Farm. Reserve a private tour & u-pick, or join the other farm visitors during our open hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from noon to five.
Small California Wild Plums are some of the first plums to ripen, and they continue ripening over a month or more. They produce sweet, small, juicy fruits in shades of yellow, orange, and red. These wild plums are the size of large cherries and some people call them 'cherry plums'.
Dapple Supreme Pluots are a bit bigger in size than the wild plums, and are richly colored and flavored.

Splash Pluots are medium-sized and a bit crunchy. The trees are tall, so we can provide you with pole-pickers to help collect them into your harvest baskets.

Shiro Plums are little yellow candy-bombs.

Burgundy Plums are deep red through and through. They have a complex rich flavor that is reminiscent of red wine.

Flavor Queen Pluots are extra-sweet and get exceptionally juicy.

Laroda Plums are a less-known plum with deep purple skin and crimson-orange flesh.

Flavor Grenade Pluots ripen in late July. They remain crisp when ripe and are loaded with sweet delicious flavor. They have a crunch when you bite into them, similar to an apple.

Golden Nectar Plums might not be ripe until August. If we get some warmer weather, they may be ripe in late July. Golden Nectar Plums are large and honey-sweet. They are a wonderful dessert all by themselves.
