Orange Bergamot Mint or Eau de Cologne mint (Mentha × piperita f. citrata) is a delicious herb with a unique aroma. Eau de Cologne mint has a strong pleasant odor due to the two chemical constituents, linalyl acetate and linalool, which make up around 90% of the oil and make it perfect for the perfumery industry, potpourri, and aromatherapy. It can also be used to make a delicious tea that may help aid digestion and ease mild headaches.
 
This mint has a delightful citrus aroma and is perfect for tea or any recipe calling for mint.  It is nice in marinades, dressings, dips, cocktails, and desserts.  Our organic orange mint tastes like a complex blend of traditional, mild mint, sweet citrus (reminiscent of orange or bergamot), and slight spice, often compared to Earl Grey tea or even basil.  It is intensely aromatic with fruity, sometimes lavender-like, notes, often described as having a "wow" factor compared to other mint varieties.
 
We hand-harvest and carefully dry this herb in the open air.  It is gently sifted and packaged by hand.  Our mint is grown in the open air under the sun.  We use no pesticides.  It is organic certified by OCIA and the Real Organic Project.
 
If we don't have a supply already packaged at the time of your order, we may need to make a fresh harvest and dry it before shipping.  This may require 2- 3 weeks after you place your order.
