This is a hybrid cactus developed by Luther Burbank.  It produces edible pads (nopales) and fruits (tunas).  We send you a mature pad (cutting) from a mother cactus that will need to be rooted.  Place the bottom of the pad into a 4 or 5 gallon-size pot of potting soil, moisten the soil lightly and don't water again until new growth is observed.  Grows in USDA zones 8-10 and can eventually grow to 8-10 feet tall.  Also is a suitable forage crop for livestock.
